Abstract:

Based on the case of China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC) English Chinese translation project“Study Report on China’s Documentary 2018”, this paper discusses terminology management in collaborative translation by a MTI student translator team at School of Foreign Languages, Peking University from the perspective of project management. Our study focuses on the three major problems in terminology management, including how to determine terminology translation rules, settle terminology inconsistency and maintain terminology. We also introduces corresponding solutions: set up translation standards, establish a review and communication system as well as apply CAT tools. Through the argument of terminology management, this paper aims to provide insight and reference for the practice of student translator teams.
