Abstract: The Internet of Things became popular soon after it was introduced, and the progress has been made regarding the discussion and research of the Internet of Things. However, it is worthwhile to explore the definition of the Internet of Things and its development in recent years. This paper aims to analyze the Internet of Things and its development, hoping to draw people's attention on this popular next-generation technology and provide power to the development of the smart city.
