Element Name Evolution of Group 18 in “Periodic Table of Elements”

Abstract

Abstract: This paper briefly presents the discovery of group 18 elements in “Periodic Table of Elements”. With the development of science and technology and deeper understanding on these elements, names of group 18 elements have been changed from time to time. Based on this example, we think that some problems should be noticed in the standardization and promotion of the scientific terms .
