Abstract: In the Ming dynasty, Zhang Jingyue put forward the term “Qing Zhi Jiu Qi” in Lei Jing, and soon the word “qingzhi” has been used widely in traditional Chinese medicine since then. Although “qingzhi” had been translated as “emotion” before as a term of TCM, not like what “qingxu” did in psychology and physiology. This paper aims to provide support evidence for modern translation by comparison between “qingzhi” and “qingxu”.
