On Some Difficulties in Chinese-English Translation of Terminologies in the Discipline of Journalism and Communication

Abstract

Abstract:

It is universally recognized by translators, including famous ones, that translation is difficult indeed. This article presents an account of the author’s experience gained through participation in the “Terminologies in Journalism and Communication Studies” project. The author also explores some difficulties in the Chinese-English translation of terminologies in social sciences.
