Abstract:

There is no hierarchical hyponymy between mechanics of materials and material properties. But when material “jixie xingneng” are changed to material “lixue xingneng”, they naturally become a part of mechanics of materials. At the same time, it caused another kind of opposite misunderstanding. This confounding of the relations and their cause and effect are worth studying. Our analysis shows that the still named “jixie xingneng” can clarify this conceptual problem.
