Abstract:

Taxonomy is the fundamental discipline of biology, characterized by a set of standardized methods for classifying, identifying and naming biological species. As a result, numerous biological names of species and taxa have emerged and are widely used in biology. Some of these names have been included as entries in biological terminology dictionaries. However, due to the lack of deep understanding of the technical terms and characteristics of these names, mistaken usage often occurred such as hierarchical relationship disorders of local terms, repeated entries, and inconsistency between nouns and definitions. Therefore, it is necessary to expound the special terminology attributes of taxonomic names for reference of relevant practitioners in the field of terminology practice.
