Interpretation of “Thinking Mode of Chinese Medicine”

Abstract: In recent years, the comparative study between Chinese medicine and modern medicine shows a deep, rational and thorough tendency. Therefore, some new terms were appeared, such as thinking mode of Chinese medicine, thinking mode of West medicine, etc. This paper details the characteristics of Chinese medicine in the aspect of thinking mode from its generation, so that the connotation of this vocabulary can be clearly explained. The author points that thinking mode of Chinese medicine is deeply affected by Chinese philosophy and traditional culture, and the theory of Chinese medicine is an important part of traditional culture, which is elucidated under the guidance of Chinese philosophy. The thinking mode of Chinese medicine is the crystallization of essences of affective thinking, empirical thinking and imaginel thinking. In the study of thinking mode of Chinese medicine, it should never be confined within the medical scope, and the change of the social environment and evolution of thinking way should also be included.
