Translation of Interchangeable Characters in TCM Terminology— Case Study on Classic of Difficulties Translated by Bob Flaws

Abstract

Abstract: Focused on the Classic of Difficulties translated by Bob Flaws, the author analyses its translation of interchangeable characters, and discusses the factors that may influence the translating strategies of culturally-unique words in TCM classics and the competence of the TCM translators. The article is supposed to provide some suggestions for the translating of more TCM classics.
