Abstract: This paper presents the work undertaken for the project of terminology standardization of the information management and knowledge management domain. The project is sponsored by the China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies (CNCTST). It consists of three stages: (a) collecting the domain-specific terms, (b) defining the terms, (c) determining the English name of each term. This paper describes the working methods applied in each phase, introduces problems emerging in the work and suggests the solutions.
