English Translation of Essential Terms of Five Agent Theory in TCM

Abstract

Abstract: Based on principles and methods for English translation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), we comparatively studied several most essential terms of Wu Xing (the five agents) theory, and suggested their English translations by consulting some literature and dictionaries in both Chinese and English. Our purpose is to promote the unification of English translation standard of TCM terms.
