Abstract

Abstract:

The “Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B (2022 Edition)” recommends “HBeAg-positive chronic HBV infection” and “HBeAg-negative chronic HBV infection” as “correct names” to replace the previous “immune tolerance period” and “immune control period” of the natural history of chronic HBV infection. This article discusses the rationality of the recommendation and use based on the rules of terminology naming and definition, Chinese language norms, and professional concept formation system.
