On the Translation of “Intention” in the Task of the Translator

Abstract: With the development of economic globalization and academic liberalization, more and more academic works have been translated into Chinese. How to standardize the translation of terms has become a big concern in the translation circle. This paper finds that the term “intention” in the Task of Translator by Benjamin has many different versions through some researches and thus attempts to find out the differences and relationship among these versions, with an aim to clarify the misunderstandings of this term.
