Abstract: Endotension is a critically important complication in endovascular aortic aneurysm repairs, which is translated into “neizhangli”. However, this translated name, with the sense of translation, can not represent contents and characteristics of the term. Based on the original definition and the application in real context/morpheme, we propose “neikuozhang” as its Chinese equivalent.

Key words: endotension, term, translation
