English Translation of Related Terms on Five Viscera

Abstract

Abstract:

The theory of Zangxiang is the core theory of Chinese medicine, which is very important for health, life extension, disease prevention and disease treatment, and rehabilitation. The theory of Zangxiang also occupies an important position in scientific research and modernization process of Chinese medicine. However, people always do not have the same standard of related terms on Zangxiang. Based on comparative analysis of a large number of related terms on five viscera, we explain the concept, physiology, and pathology, clarify the English translation of these terms. We hope to promote standards unity of terms on five viscera, promote the English translation of TCM terminology standardization, improve the accuracy of the English translation, and provide ideas and methods for the modern development of TCM.
