Definition Methodology of the Terms from Humanities and Social Sciences: Research Based on Examples from Translation Studies and Narratology

Abstract

Abstract:

Based on reviewing the research status on the definition of the humanities and social sciences terms in China and abroad, we analyzed the nature, attributes and characteristics of the terms in this domain. We also elaborated the definition methods based on the examples analysis from the translation studies and narratology, and proposed a new method by means of hierarchical semantic analysis to define the terms in humanities and social sciences.
