Abstract:

Concept system building and terminology work is the foundation for standards making. Terminology work faces grand challenges when its development across multi-discipline and multi-domain. This paper describes the empirical processes of concept system building and terminology work of ITU-T FG-DPM, and introduces a multi-dimensional standards cooperation approach for building a single and unified DPM concept system to facilitate consistency of common understanding about DPM across different working groups and projects. This research has many implications to concept system building and terminology work across multi-discipline and multi-domain, not limited to IoT, smart cities and communities.

Key words: concept system building, terminology work, data processing and management, IoT and smart cities and communities, ITU-T
