Abstract: In translating a term, a translator often mistakes a version in one field for that in another one. This kind of mistake originates from a familiar and impressive field. Such confusion of terms’ fields or even referents is very popular in term translation. A translator should realize the field of a term before translating it, and try hard to find an equivalent in the target language. Otherwise, the translation may bring trouble in communication.
