Cultural Default in the Translation of Legal Terms

Abstract: Cultural default refers to the omission of cultural backgrounds information in the communication with the prospective audience. Legal culture is the unique expression for the people who use legal language. The author tries to study the origin of cultural default in legal language translation, and to achieve the function equivalence by conveying original cultural implications through translation.
