Abstract:

Since the reform and opening up, with the increasing exchanges between Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the mainland of China, people from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan have brought their language habits into the mainland. If the news or major media departments in mainland do not adhere to their terminology usage norms, it will lead to the phenomenon of using different terms to express the same concept, making people unable to understand each other and affecting communication. In the long run, it will have a significant impact on the linguistic security of the mainland. Fron the perspective of national language securits, we systematically analyze the differences between Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the mainland in terms of science and technology in recent years, explore the root causes of this phenomenon, and study the strategies for the dissemination and application norms of science and technology terms in China from the source. We also explore ways and paths to realize the standardized application of science and technology terms in the mainland using artificial intelligence technology, so as to ensure mutual understanding in people’s communication and promote the rapid development of science and technology in various fields.
