Abstract: It is valuable to analyze the whole process of the naming of the newly discovered influenza occurred in NorthAmerica from terminology science. From the analysis below, we can draw following thoughts: it is important to harmonize the relationship between the lexical meaning and conceptual meaning of a term; the naming of a term can be influenced by linguistic, economical, cultural and scientific factors; the relationship between of internationalization and localization should be issued when terms borrowed.
