Chinese Translation of English Linguistic Terms Based on Dictionary Comparison

Abstract

Abstract: The author analyzed four contemporary English-Chinese linguistic dictionaries from different perspectives. Firstly, the four dictionaries were classified into two groups,i.e. compiling group and translating group, and their advantages and disadvantages were Investigated. Then, each dictionary was compared with the other three, and advantages and disadvantages of each dictionary were analyzed. The author also points out the present chaos condition of the Chinese translation of English linguistic terms.
