Abstract: In China, many traditional terms of cultural relic come from worker's words, and some of them obviously have folk characteristics and conflict with modern science in some extent. Based on analysis in grammar, chemistry, terminology, etc., this article uses the term “sujian” as an example to explore its phenomenon, concept, definition, origin.
