Review of the Revised Edition of An Introduction to Modern Terminology

Abstract: As China's first monograph on terminology studies, An Introduction to Modern Terminology has contributed to constructing the Chinese discourse on terminology studies and laid a solid foundation for the terminology studies in China. This book gives an overview of general terminology studies, creates the economic law of term formation and the potential ambiguity theory, and sheds light on the development of Terminography. This article firstly introduces the contents of the revised edition of the book and then comments on its writing features, academic contributions and shortcomings.
