Abstract: Ground source heat pump is a new air conditioning heating method which features high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. The application of ground source heat pump technology facilitates the solvement of two major problems: energy crisis and environmental pollution and thus brings opportunity of sustainable development of China. The development of ground source heat pump in China has a vast prospect. This paper starts with the origin of ground source heat pump, and then combines with analysis of its development both in China and abroad so as to put forward opinions and suggestions for the development of ground source heat pump technology in China.
