Abstract: 3D face recognition is a reliable technology t in the field of facial recognition, and has been widely applied in sensitive places. This paper describes the development of 3D facial recognition, technical characteristics, difficulties and hotspots within the application. The future development of 3D facial recognition is also prospected in the end.
