Abstract: This article explains the basic concepts of manned spaceship and space station, introduces the basic theories and control methods for orbital rendezvous and docking system. Furthermore, the article also makes a brief description of the technical features and development of orbital rendezvous and docking of Chinese manned spaceship with space station, especially points out the significance of rendezvous and docking technology for Chinese manned space project.
