Thoughts on English Translation of “yiliao qixie”

Abstract:

In recent years, with the emerging companies in medical device industry, the Chinese technical term “yiliao qixie” has been widely used and seen in the documents related to company registration, introduction, online advertising, user manuals and so on, while the English versions of this word have shown many different styles with no standardization. With collected data and analysis of differences among various English translation versions of “yiliao qixie”, we intend to provide a way of thinking for the translators.
