Abstract: Mount Qomolangma is a geographical name of China, which was discovered and named by Tibetan people of China, and falsified as Mount Everest by colonialists over a century later. The Chinese Government replaced Mount Everest with orthographic Mount Qomolangma in 1952,while the wrongful English translation is still spreading unchecked. It's high time for us to replace the wrongful English translation of Mount Qomolangma with its standardized English translation.
Key words: Mount Qomolangma, Mount Everest, wrongful English translation of Mount Qomolangma, standardized English translation
