Discrimination on Vapor Pressure and Steam Pressure

Abstract: Based on comprehensively searching and comparing the definition and application of “vapor pressure” and “steam pressure” in reference books, teaching materials, internet, scientific literature and national standards, the author points out that “vapor pressure” means “saturated vapor pressure”, i.e., fluid pressure generated by the gaseous liquid molecules, which should not be expressed as “steam pressure”.
