Abstract: This paper introduces concepts of wargame and war gaming and related activities, such as, drill, military exercise, warfare simulation, military operation research and analysis. Based on the vital function of war gaming, the author compares the differences and relations of war gaming with its related concepts, and analyzes the limitations of war gaming.
