Abstract:

High-throughput sequencing is a technique that has capable of sequencing multiple DNA molecules in parallel, enabling hundreds of millions of DNA molecules to be sequenced at a time. With the rapid development of high-throughput sequencing, it has become a hot field in life sciences, and appeared some novel terms. This article expounds the development history of sequencing technology, analyzes the term “high-throughput sequencing technology”, and explains related main technical terms in this field.
