Abstract:

In order to better distinguish homophones and avoid ambiguity and semantic confusion caused by homophones,this article intends to summarize and analyze the types and ways of production of Uyghur homophones,the differences between homophones and polysemous and homomorphic words,as well as the ambiguity caused by homophones and the methods to avoid them.The article adopts research methods such as literature review,analysis,and examples to deeply study modern Uyghur homophones.It is concluded that homophones in Uyghur language are influenced by the phonetic,grammatical,and semantic changes of some words in Uyghur vocabulary.In addition,they are also influenced by borrowed words from other languages.Through analysis,the author believes that by distinguishing homophones in Uyghur language,the non-standard usage and incorrect expression of homophones in language can be corrected.
