Abstract:

Winter Pasture:One Woman’s Journey with China’s Kazakh Herders,a non-fiction work,written by Li Juan who won the Lu Xun Literature Prize.The work documents the author’s experiences living with Kazakh herders in the southern Altay in 2010.This paper takes the English version as a case study to explore the construction of conceptual metaphors and their role in cultural expression,revealing how conceptual metaphors in non-fiction literature integrate practical life experiences with cultural significance and reflect the complex relationships between humans and nature,tradition and modernity.
