Abstract: The parts-of-speech for sci-tech term, whether tagged explicitly or inferred from its meaning, is of considerable significance to denominating the term,selecting its English counterpart, collocating words concerned in the context and defining it exactly. Among the terms, in various disciplines, the nouns possess naturally the overwhelming majority, whereas both the verbs and adjectives are in a decided minority but cannot be looked down upon. In addition, other classes, such as adverbs, numerals, prepositions and conjunctions, are included rarely, nevertheless unable to be categorically rejected. And in this paper, each category is illustrated by typical examples.
