Abstract: This paper discusses the problem of terminology construction from the perspective of scientific translation. Based on the analysis of the use of standardized terms in translation practice, it indicates that the research areas in terminology be broadened, non-standardized terms be studied in addition to the standardization of terms and translators be educated in terminology knowledge. Meanwhile, the data bank of terms oriented to translation should be established and translators be well utilized in the construction of terminology.
