On the Chinese Translation of Hate Crime

Abstract

Abstract: Although hate crime is a frequently used term in Police English, it has various Chinese translation counterparts. By tracing back to its concept and content, comparing and analyzing its present translation, and discussing the problems of cultural default and improper translation methods in the translation process, the author combines the traits of legal culture of China and proposes a new Chinese equivalent.
