Abstract: In China, there are clear standards for pharmaceutical gelatin, which is a main material for manufacturing capsule. However, cheaper industrial gelatin is unscrupulously used in capsule manufacturing. Capsules made from industrial gelatin are seriously excessive in chromium, which is likely to be seriously harmful to human health. To ensure the safe use of gelatin, it is important to have a system of self-discipline, strict process control, powerful and effective regulations of rewards and penalties.
