Did the Term “Mother” Misused in a Clause of the Constitution?

Abstract: The PRC Constitution has been questioned for its Article 49 “Marriage, family, mother and child are protected by the state”. There argues that “mother” should be amended as “women”. This paper demonstrates the right of constitution through the perspective of linguistics and law, and considers that: the language of the constitution has its own legal spirit.
