Abstract:
Taking into serious consideration the systematic property of literary terms, the author carried out a comparative study of Chinese literary terms and their English counterparts. Supported by the findings from the study and the data in NUTERM, the author suggests that a law of “systematic economy” be established as a guiding principle in the translation of literary terms.
