A Comparative Analysis of English and Chinese Terms and Translation

Abstract

Abstract:

Term translation is a process to form a new one in the target language, in which correspondent words are selected and conceptual information transmitted, involving the correct understanding and handling of word, concept and culture. The way to express conceptual connotation for equivalence and wording for corresponding lies in the comparison in cultural context and linguistic features, with such effective strategies as conceptual cognition, word choice, as well as various translation methods.
