Abstract: Based on cognitive science and prototype theory, the research of translation terminology from socio-cognitive perspective refers to the features of translation studies, follows pragmatic and communicative functions, and emphasizes the ambiguity, diachronic and dynamic characteristics of term translation. Hence, it is a more comprehensive, systematic and dynamic method in the study of translation terminology, and can provide a new perspective for the study of translation terminology.
