Abstract: “juemi” and “jimi” is quite different in secret classification. In Russian-Chinese dictionaries, the category of secrets “sovershenno sekretno” is often translated as “juemi” (top secret). Based on the analysis of “sovershenno sekretno” in the categories of state secrets in the Russian Federation and the Soviet Union, we think that the term “sovershenno sekretno” itself should be translated as “jimi” (confidential). The main reason for the translation error is that terms of secret categories are usually regarded as common vocabularies, rather than specific terms.
