Abstract: Being a classic of Chinese traditional culture, The Story of the Stone is difficult to translate for it's dense with cultural heterogeneity factors. Based on cultural turn translation theory, this article deals with David Hawks' cultural translation strategies (especially the method of revision), with a purpose to offering some references concerning the translation of Chinese Medicine in general and cultural heterogeneity factors in Chinese literature.
