Discussion on the Air Quality Index and Air Pollution Index

Abstract: Now, the air pollution index in China will evaluate the concentration of SO2, NO2, and PM10, without PM2.5, which differs from the air quality index evaluated by PM2.5. That is to say, API and AQI are same on the concept. With more and more people recognizing the harm of PM2.5 in air, many governments and organizations have added or been planning to add the PM2.5 in their AQI evaluation, including China.
