Abstract: The Cross-straits Common Dictionary on Science & Technology contains 30 disciplines of science and technology, which is written by China Mainland and Taiwan Province. Of these names, 19% is differentially named by China Mainland and Taiwan Province, which is caused by differentially translating names of people and places, foreign words, as well as different habits of using Chinese character, and different depth and speed of amendment between the two sides. In actual treatment, if one name of Mainland matches more than two names of Taiwan, the name of Taiwan was determined by the principle of the same name priority, meaning concord and discipline consistency. If matches one name of Taiwan that meaning discordantly, or none name of Taiwan, we should communicate with Taiwan experts to discuss a suitable name.
