Abstract:

This paper explores how translators balance the accuracy and readability of translated civil aviation technical texts within the framework of Translator Behavior Criticism by conducting a comparative analysis of translated versions of the B737 MAX Airplane Flight Manual Flight Manual.Through the analysis of specific cases, the paper reveals the strategies and methods employed by translators in dealing with terminology, sentence structures, logical relationships, and other aspects. We think that when translating civil aviation texts, translators should not only convey the original content correctly but also fully exert the function of the translated text, ensuring that the translation text embodies the principle of “truth-seeking”and “utility-attaining”.
