Abstract: Generally, tender/bid documents have basic linguistic features of legal texts, such as precise words, strict structures, professional terms, careful thinking, formal style, clear semantic, etc. This paper discusses the language characteristics of these documents, and puts forward some suggestions on the translation strategies.
