摘要/Abstract

摘要： “法治”与“法制”虽一字之差,但其内涵与外延均不同,英译时需要仔细斟酌。文章从词典定义入手,比较“法治”与“法制”、rule of law 与 rule by law这两对词的异同。在此基础上,提出“法治”与“法制”的英译建议。

Abstract: We think both the connotation and extension of fazhi (法治) and fazhi (法制) are different, and their English translations need to be considered carefully. Based on dictionary definition, we compared the two pairs of words, fazhi (法治) and fazhi (法制), and rule of law and rule by law. We also put forward suggestions for English translation of fazhi(法治) and fazhi(法制).
