Terminology's Heuristic Function

Abstract

Abstract: Like common vocabulary,terminology has two main functions:communicative and cognitive functions.But as professional vocabulary that denotes the concept,cognitive function is the uppermost functions,and basically,all the other functions can be classified correspendingly into these two functional areas.Among terminology's cognition functions,heuristic function is the best to embody the term's characteristics.Terminology's heuristic function can be further divided into systematizing function,modeling function and prognostic function.
